Everything You Need to Know About

Udyamregistration.gov.in – The Official MSME Registration Portal

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of India’s economy. They not only provide employment but also significantly boost the country’s GDP. To formalize and streamline their operations, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises launched Udyamregistration.gov.in. This is the only Government-authorized portal for MSME registration, covering both new registrations and migration from earlier systems like EM-II or Udyog Aadhaar.

🏛️ What is Udyamregistration.gov.in?

Udyamregistration.gov.in is a free, paperless, and user-friendly digital platform that enables MSME registration with minimal effort. Whether you are starting a new business or converting an existing UAM/EM-II registration, the portal offers a fast and secure solution.

📌 Classification of Enterprises

As per the latest MSME guidelines, enterprises fall into three categories:

  • Micro Enterprises: Investment ≤ ₹1 crore | Turnover ≤ ₹5 crore
  • Small Enterprises: Investment ≤ ₹10 crore | Turnover ≤ ₹50 crore
  • Medium Enterprises: Investment ≤ ₹50 crore | Turnover ≤ ₹250 crore

Therefore, your classification determines your access to credit, schemes, and government benefits.
