Justice (Retd) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra appointed as President of GSTAT by the Government

The Government of India vide Office Order No.18/10r2024-EO(SM.II) dated May 01, 2024 has approved the appointment of Justice (Retd) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, Former Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand, to the post of President in Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (“GSTAT”).

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, based on the recommendation of the SCSC, has approved the appointment of Justice (Retd) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, Former Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand, to the post of President in Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal, in the salary of Rs. 250000/-p.m., for a period of 04 years w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge of the post, or till attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
