DGFT Seeks Comments on Export Policy Alignment with Finance Act, 2025

DGFT Trade Notice – 2025

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) issued Trade Notice No. 04/2025-26 on April 29, 2025. It invites exporters, industry bodies, and experts to submit their comments on aligning Schedule-II of ITC(HS) 2022 with the Finance Act, 2025.

The Finance Act introduces several changes to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. These include updated Chapter Notes, HS Codes, and product descriptions. To ensure consistency, DGFT plans to reflect these updates in the Export Policy.

Under Para 1.07A of FTP 2023, DGFT consults stakeholders before changing trade policy. Annexure-I outlines the proposed changes in Chapter Notes, while Annexure-II lists the revisions in HS Codes and descriptions.

DGFT has asked stakeholders to email their inputs within 7 days to export-dgft@nic.in. This consultation aims to ensure clarity and smooth implementation of revised export regulations.

The Competent Authority has approved this notice in accordance with FTP 2023.
