DGFT Amends SION E-125 for Export of Shea Stearine with Revised Import Entitlements

The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), through Public Notice No 28/2024-25 dated October 28, 2024, has amended the Standard Input Output Norm (SION) E-125 for Shea Stearine exports by revising import entitlements under Foreign Trade Policy, 2023.

Key Amendments in SION E-125:

Shea Stearine export norms now include updated input entitlements:

Shea Nuts (Oil Content 45+/-1%): 5.02 MT (subject to oil content adjustment)

Shea Butter: 2.21 MT

Activated Bleaching Earth: 0.048 MT

Acetone: 0.039 MT

For Shea Nuts, the permitted import quantity adjusts based on oil content, allowing for 150 kg variation per 1% deviation. Customs will test oil content per consignment, with endorsements based on the weighted average for smooth import clearance.

Note: This SION amendment is valid until March 31, 2027, pending reassessment for industry pricing changes.
