DGFT: Addition of GIA Laboratory, DMCC, Dubai to Handbook of Procedures 2023

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued Public Notice No. 41/2024-25 on January 15, 2025. This notice announces the inclusion of GIA Laboratory, DMCC, Dubai, UAE in the list of authorized laboratories under Para 4.73 of the Handbook of Procedures (HBoP) 2023.

The laboratory can now certify and grade diamonds weighing 0.25 carats and above. This change aligns with the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023.


Amendment Details

Using the powers granted under Paragraphs 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the DGFT has made a key amendment to Para 4.73 of the Handbook of Procedures:

    GIA Laboratory, DMCC, Dubai, UAE
