Deadline Extended for Halal Certification Bodies Accreditation and Export Units Registration Until July 4, 2024

The DGFT vide Notification No. 08/2023 dated April 23, 2024 regarding the streamlining of Halal Certification Process for Meat and Meat Products.

The Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, in partial modification of Notification No. 03/2023 dated April 06, 2023 read with Notification No. 41/2023 dated October 27, 2023, hereby extends the time period, for both accreditation of Halal Certification Bodies as well as for registration of export units, for a further period of three months i.e., up to July 04, 2024.

Effect of this Notification:

Time period for accreditation of Halal Certification Bodies and registration of Export Units have been extended by a period of three months i.e., up to July 04, 2024.
