CBIC to Participate in Special Campaign 4.0 from 2nd October to 31st October, 2024 to Promote Cleanliness and Disposal of Pending Matters

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is gearing up for *Special Campaign 4.0, set to run from *October 2nd to October 31st, 2024. This campaign, initiated by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), focuses on cleanliness drives and expediting the disposal of pending matters across Government offices.

Key Objectives of Special Campaign 4.0:

  • Institutionalising cleanliness in government offices.
  • Reducing pendency of VIP/MP references, public grievances, and public grievance appeals.
  • Disposal of physical files and smuggled goods such as narcotics and foreign-origin cigarettes.

Achievements in Special Campaign 3.0:

  • CBIC cleared 100% of VIP/MP references and resolved 924 public grievances.
  • Conducted 2,041 cleanliness drives and disposed of 32,448 physical files.
  • Freed up 2,05,242 square feet of office space and generated Rs. 16,29,982 in revenue from scrap disposal.
  • Safely destroyed 328 kg of narcotics and 1.1 crore sticks of foreign-origin cigarettes.

CBIC aims to replicate and expand on these successes during Special Campaign 4.0, ensuring a cleaner, more efficient working environment and a timely resolution of pending issues.
