In a significant move to support courier exports and encourage e-commerce growth, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has extended export-related benefits under Duty Drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL schemes for shipments made via courier mode, effective from September 12, 2024. This initiative aims to create a level playing field for MSME exporters and enhance India’s global competitiveness in the e-commerce sector.

Key Highlights:

• Export benefits now available for courier shipments under *Duty Drawback, **RoDTEP, and *RoSCTL schemes.
• Amendments made to the Courier Imports and Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2010, facilitating easier claim processes.
• Indian Customs EDI System (ICES) to handle customs clearance for courier exports, ensuring seamless processing of claims.
