Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), inaugurated the GST & Customs Pavilion at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024 in New Delhi. The pavilion, themed “Facilitating Trade, Fostering Economy”, highlights CBIC’s dedication to supporting trade and promoting economic growth.


Highlights of the Pavilion

Six videos on GST and Customs processes were launched to educate taxpayers.

Available in 10 regional languages alongside Hindi and English, ensuring inclusivity.

  1. Helpdesks

Six helpdesks staffed with experts on GST, Customs, GST Network, and ICEGATE to assist visitors in resolving queries.

  1. Career Guidance

A dedicated counter provides information on career opportunities in the Customs and GST Department.

  1. Digital Displays

Interactive digital screens showcasing achievements and initiatives of the GST and Customs Department.

  1. Engagement Activities

Informative yet entertaining initiatives like Nukkad Natak, Magic Shows, Puppet Shows, Quiz Competitions, and caricature artists to engage visitors of all age groups.


Introduction of Red Panda as Mascot

CBIC unveiled its official mascot, the Red Panda, symbolizing:

Duty: Commitment to ensuring smooth trade.

Precision: Accuracy in processes.

Trust: Building confidence among stakeholders.

The Red Panda reflects the CBIC’s mission of balancing the free flow of trade with vigilant oversight.
